Used on your Galaxy Sword each soul upgrades stats to a max base dmg of 80-100, speed +4 and defence +2 using all three and is now the Infinity Blade. On top of that you have the forging 3X for added stats with gemstones. Although you can get the galaxy souls from drops I was happy to spend all my Qi gems so my kickass sword makes progress easier.
